  1. The other postmodernist I’ve actually read a lot of is Richard Rorty (yeah fuck you Derrida, if you wanted me to read you, you should have been easier to read). Rorty advocates an attitude toward knowledge he calls “ironism,” irony being the skeptical caution with which we should regard our own beliefs in our awareness that our vocabulary for describing and understanding the world is not the final or best vocabulary.
