Any advice for people getting into Yukio Mishima? What would I advise? Just read it, it's great! Read the tetralogy. I want to reread Mishima. That was a comfy time just plowing through all this literature. Could read some Mishima. [...] they're all in japan my whole library but I love this book (The Sailor who Fell from Grace with the Sea) so much I bought another copy of it. It's weird with a Japanese author because I love his writing style or his prose so much but it's obviously translated so what does that really say, you know, can I say that I like an author's style of writing even if it's translated?

The Sailor Who Fell From Grace With The Sea is a very long title. It's one of my favourite authors of all time, Yukio Mishima and this is probably one of my favourites of his. It's not very long. It's kind of comfy, but it also has a powerful meaning, allegory in it so read it.

One of the major discoveries for me this year was discovering my favourite author, which I've talked a lot about on this channel, which is Yukio Mishima. Didn't know much about this author when I read him, which I think added to the effect for me so I almost don't want to talk about him because discovering him was equally as fun almost or really added to the experience for me. [...] When I read 'The Sailor Who Fell From Grace With The Sea" I just felt so completely immersed into the main character's mind which is something I never really experienced before with literature.

So I uh randomly picked Yukio Mishima's "The Sailor who Fell from Grace with the Sea" and I was so en... what's the right word? Entranced by it? I felt so lost reading this book in the, in the best possible way. And I absolutely loved it.
